Random thoughts and collated data from various
publications concerning EFAs, in particular Omega 3
from Fish Oils:
Plenty of papers
published about it early 1990's till Bush invested in
fish oils, with a decree that all school kids in Texas
should be put on FOs. He made millions out of it.
Earlier studies show and more recent ones, that
fish oils are useless, and can cause impairment
glycemic control. Useless to prevent cardio events!

My own observations on some who were recommended
excessive amount of fish oils, such as 30,000 per day,
suffered exacerbations of their symptoms, or unhelpful.
Others suffered worsening of joints pains, because
of high concentration of purine in crustaceans and some
vegetables.
Medical training nowadays produces scientific illiterates.
Recommendations are unscientific, profit driven.
It is crucial for our survival to understand that theory in science is
a guessing game. Some are accurate, most are not. Use your own
critical thinking, and learn to discriminate, common sense, and
listen to WHAT YOUR BODY TELLS YOU. No MD or nutritionist can do
this for YOU.
if you crave specific foods, look up nutritonal data, you may
be craving for imbalances deficiencies, or may even crave for
a specific anti cancer compounds.
Medical and Nutrition sciences are not predictive.
Same for gene theories, its unpredictable in its cause and effects.
Medical treatments don't work most the times. Medical professionals
often discredit tradtional medicines, such as TCM or Ayurvedic, the truth
being that both allopathic medicine and traditional medicine rely on
observational studies. I would rather choose the latter, in this case,
Ayurvedic, less toxic, with thousands of years withstanding the test of time.
For the last few months, I am reading up
on traditional medicine, old folk remedies, in Europe, Russia,
Asia etc
My main interests is focused on compounds found in foods, such as veggies, meats, spices, culinary herbs etc.. and its epigenetic effects and uses as molecular target and therapies.
More ethical nutritionists, are using traditional European nutritional
traditions, including lards and various fats from organ meats, and to a
certain extent, there is some supportive good science behind this.
As for nutritional requirements, this is based on the individual's own
metabolism and needs. I don't subscribe to a particular prescriptive
diet.
Eat what I know I need, old fashion listening to your body, as
recommended by some enlightened doctors and nutritionists.
Some need high meats content, others, need more vegetables,
some grains, some mixed. Hard work working out what I need,
which foods to eat, which foods to avoid, and molecular therapies.
Dr Kelly, cured many cancer patients, based on their own dietary needs,
no prescriptive diets. I don't do well on juicing for instance, on greens.
I found out after several attempts that we can't digest wood-like cellulose in those.
Some can be eaten raw, we all know which ones, other greens are
to be avoided.
Fast forward on fish oils (EFAs) Can be obtained in high quantities
in lamb, brains, and other meats, nuts, seeds and bla bla bla
Cutting edge nutrtionists repudiating fish oils, which btw,
can cause a lot of damage depending on
anabolic and catbolic metabolism etc..
Fish oil contains a derivative of Omega 3, important for cellular oxygenation, damaging in excess and improper ratio of Omega
3 and Omega 6.
Fish oils go rancid very fast, eve fish sold in a market, unless eaten straight fresh from sea or river.
Taking fish oil, excessive in Omega 3, will create imbalances, contains
carcinogenic toxins, mercury etc.. so, in the balance, best to get EFAs from cow's brain, some vegetable, seed oils have safer ratio of parent Omega 3 and 6.
Wild fish is better, but contains too much of Omega 3.
Eskimos - less incidence of cancer, live mainly on meat
proteins, some fish, but main caribou, bear, and so on.
As did the indigenous US population and other.
Well, in the balance, EPO, or borage oil is safer, although,
flax is good too. From all I read, its critical to have the right
ratio. If you have excessive of Omega 3, this will impair cell
membrane function!!
You need to get all the minerals you can get to manufacture
SOD enzymes which stops free radicals taking over
antioxidants!
You need Vit E to PREVENT oxidization of EFAs...and the
best Vit E should contain all tocopherols and toconietrols,
such as organic wheat germ oil (non GMO), Red Palm Oil,
Rice Bran etc Wheat Germ Oil is not the best but, cheaper.
Its useless buying antioxidants, it will oxidize if you don't
have minerals and Vit E, and Bs as well other nutrients,
most unknown, from foods!
High meat protein EFAs will help your bones!!
Bone matrix=EFAs and collagen!!
You need the above to synthesize Vitamin Bs.
Concerning minerals from vegetables and its absorption,
there are contradictory reports, but based on my own
experience, iits ineffective, specially if suffering from a leaky
gut!
Some studies show they are bound to cellulose in the
plants, and we can't absorb.
I am not sure about the validity, and need to read up some
more. Some studies are even saying that eating lots of
fruits and veggies will diminish minerals.
We know that eating to much greens, or foods high
in tannins will mop up essential minerals.
In a nutshell
read up on vegetarian EFAs, and meats,
& organ meats as in kidneys, liver, brain, testicles, brains, lambs etc.. and replenish cellular activities.
