My story, I would imagine is a very similar one to many of yours. I will save going into depth for another day and leave it simply at this:
I was floxed by Levaquin just over two years ago, it wasn't my first floxing but it will be my last. Within 3 days, I was rendered immobile and in excruciating pain. I've been house/medical bed/wheelchair bound ever since. My entire body has been effected, all of my joints, tendons, muscles, connective tissues, and my central & peripheral nervous systems...I have the majority of the symptoms listed for a severe reaction.
Enduring this hell each day year after year has been the biggest challenge of my life. But I'm proud to say that I have survived, and I am stronger, more appreciative, and more aware for having gone through this. I may not be able to walk on my own unaided, but I am defying diagnosis and continue to be hopeful that someday I will. While I still suffer a great deal on a daily basis, I have seen a lot of little improvements over time, and such progress gives me hope for continued healing.
In the end, we must face our new reality and do the best that we can with what we've been left with. I believe that we're all capable of helping create change and saving lives. Through raising awareness and sharing our experiences, advocating for what is right, and standing for truth even in the face of adversity...we can make a difference.
I will write more about my experiences another time. Until then, I wish you all the very best. Please keep hope in your heart and remember the mind-body connection, because our thoughts do effect our bodies.
Sincerely,
hope4healing
