I've been using Silvadene on a 2nd degree burn for a couple of months now. The burn occurred prior to my being floxed. I've suddenly developed contact dermatitis in the area surrounding the burn. And it's itchy and very red. And I'm wondering if any of you have a home remedy that has worked for you? I tried Bacitracin last night and that didn't help. And I just put some vitamin E on it. But it's still itchy! And it looks redder to me that it did yesterday. The burn is still not entirely healed so I'd like to avoid anything potentially caustic that might accidentally seep over onto it. The burn and rash are on the top of my right foot. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for any suggestions. Fresh aloe vera sap from the plant. I tried it on a burn on my finger, burnt to the bone, healed and no scar. Two things I read about: 1. Fresh ground coffee soaked in water, make a paste and apply 2. Boiled french string beans- make a light paste and apply South Americans use this on burns, as promoted by Dr Gwen Scott.

Thanks beebs.
You burned your finger to the bone?! Ouch....
The coffee, I get. The string beans...mash 'em?
I tried pure aloe this morning, but it's not directly from a plant and it dries really fast.
I've, also, developed other weird skin things skin being floxed. Facial acne, spots on my arms that look as though large blood vessels have popped, a spot on the back of my calf which kind of looks like psoriasis, and little indented purple lesions near my left ankle which almost look like old scars but they're brand new out of the blue! Any idea about those? I tried raw honey on the thing on the back of my calf, but it didn't seem to have any effect.
